Glacier Country, Montana and Northernmost Idaho
Montana at last. Lake McDonald in Glacier National Park, where I
camped and met supernice folks from all over. Soon to be up to my
shorts in Lake McDonald, here, at 7am or so. Sleeptime flies when you
sleep outdoors. How'bout we drop them Tevas on the stony lakefloor,
hunys... 'S so clear! ...And it ain't really cold...
...now up to my ...um ..shorts
...now looking the other way... (to Canada)
...moving right along -- this is the fabled Going to the Sun Road,
still level, still fairly close to Lake McDonald, in the vicinity of
the West Glacier entrance, but soon to get really winding and steep on
its way up to Logan Pass and down to St. Mary's and the enchanting
mountainview plains of the Blackfeet Nation...
...and looking back right at ya, that is to say, South... Logan Pass
just ahead and out of view to the left...
Nearing Logan's Pass, and looking back on some far away glacier. Nice spruce.
Glacier National Park.
