Alberta & British Columbia -- Canadian Rockies
A fleeting rainbow at sunset in the Kootenay National Park, British
Columbia, just north of the spa town and park entrance New Hot Radium
Springs. I owe this one to being up and about after setting up camp
and backtracking.
Walking up to Lake Louise and Chateau Lake Louise. They were playing
"Amazing Grace" on a solo trombone, at the time, LeeAnn. Honest.
Couldn't get the colors to scan right, so here you go, a B&W Banff
N.P., between the towns of Banff and Lake Louise, on the Parkway,
looking towards Kootenay N.P., British Columbia behind those peaks,
viewing from Alberta.
For all you fellow railroad crazies... North by Northwest! Canadian
National Railroad track squeaking through Banff country... yum.
My first camp in Alberta, after camping in the valley in Kootenay
National Park, just across the Continental Divide. I was making my
way from Caribou campground near the Canadian border, where I saw a
bull moose cross my path in near dark, east of Yaak, Montana. Had
very good luck with the grizzly and black bears in all these places --
primarily by not eating in the camp!
Valley Floor a few miles north of Athabasca Glacier/Mt. Columbia, looking
at Mt. Columbia and its companions. Fuji 100 film.
Moved one to Hinterlands of British Columbia, where it belongs.
