		as they say
		   l'amour
		   silly
		and my face is bundled with a kerchief
		because you -- have teeth
		   l'amour
		damn --
		don't bend your fingers into helpless fists
		what do you want?
		me?
		   l'amour?
		it's most beautiful
		when the candles are yellow
		at the cemetery gates
		under a pink angel
		that hold its hands in prayer
		    l'amour
		alive I knelt
		I picked up from the soil
		a handful of useless teeth
		tomorrow I will sleep with a cadaver
		   l'amour
		   today
		I am alive
		tensely alive
		frightfully alive
		and time -- coughs up lungs
		is dying of numbing consumption
		   listen -- if you'll throw the mandolin
		   in the grave
		I don't want money
		if you drown the mandolin
		then -- awwww
